75 Days and Counting...
Two and one-half short months. I can't believe how quickly time is passing. It seems like just yesterday we found out we were going to have a baby! It really is amazing how the little guy or girl is growing. I was feeling lots of kicks and punches and not much else, but now I'm feeling a lot more of general movement. I'll be watching TV or laying in bed and I feel a leg or an arm slowly move across my stomach. Also, when I feel a kick, it seems the baby is kicking me up high near my ribs instead of below my belly button. This is always a good sign that baby is facing the right way. Also, it seems the baby is growing more active during the day. This makes me very happy since people say movement during pregnancy is an indicator of the sleep cycles after the baby is born.
The only major downside to everything is how badly my back hurts. I have to take a short walk at work about every hour, which is pretty hard to do since I am so busy. But considering how easy this pregnancy has been, I don't mind taking a little break at work.
Joel and I finally registered for baby items. It was way harder than either of us imagined. When we registered for our wedding, we had an idea of what we would need/use. However, since this is our first baby, we had no clue what we would actually use. After doing a lot of research and speaking with new and experienced Mom's, we are pretty sure we chose all the basics we need (except for clothes!). Everyone knows that having a baby is expensive, but wow! we were kind of shocked to find out how expensive little baby things are :-)
So, I know we haven't posted a picture in a while, so we took one today. I didn't realize how big I've actually gotten until I looked at this pic. I am 29 weeks and 2 days today (only 11 more weeks to go!). We need better lighting in the nursery, but this is me next to the crib...
Wow! This shirt is getting pretty stretched out!
