Ideas?
Daddy here... We are looking for ideas of gender neutral color schemes for the nursery, since we have decided that we want to be surprised by the future baby Vinco's gender! Any ideas?

Busy Times
It has been such a busy week! We went to the OB last week (you knew that!) and we have a healthy 8 week 6 day baby (as of today). Our baby actually measured a couple of days bigger than he/she should be. Our estimated due date is September 2, 2011 which is the perfect time to have off of work.
So far, I've been feeling about the same. Waves of nausea come and go and I'm REALLY tired, but other than that I'm feeling really good. Tomorrow I enter my third month and I can't believe how fast the time is flying. Joel and I are really trying to enjoy our quiet time now before the baby comes. This weekend we are going to organize the spare bedroom and try to prepare it as best we can for the nursery. We won't be decorating until later, but it will be nice to have everything organized. We also are trying to decide if we want to move or stay in this area. We really love the west/northwest side of Columbus and are thinking of making a move back over there. So much to do and so little time!
What changes has baby gone through this week (Week 8)?
According to The Bump, our little baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs, and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.
Until next time, Mom, Dad, and Baby V say bye :-)

The soon to be Grandparents know!
Future daddy here,.....So the future Grandparents finally know! It's been so hard to keep it a secret even for such a short while. They have all been so supportive and thrilled! We are just as excited as they are. Little string bean is now the size of a raspberry. It was so amazing to see beanies little heart beat. I'm sure mommy will post more later.

Our Little Boo-Berry
So, I am 7 weeks preggers (I think). I've been a little queasy and have only gotten really sick once. Overall, I feel pretty great. I am so grateful that so far everything is going well for me, because from what I've read morning sickness can be horrible.
According to http://www.thebump.com/ our little one is the size of a blueberry. Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place. It's so exciting to know that a little Vinco is growing inside of me.
I'm maintaining my weight, but my clothes are fitting a little tighter these days. It feels good to know that I'm making healthy choices. The hardest adjustment I've had to make is not drinking caffeine. I love my morning coffee and ice cold Coke. I've been tempted a couple of times, but have resisted. If I ever have the urge to drink a soda I'll have a Sprite.
Joel and I are going to our first appointment on Wednesday. We'll keep you updated...

Wow!
Well, it's been about a week since we found out we were expecting. We found out on December 27th (Mom Yoly and Dad's anniversary). At first I was in complete shock, but as the day went on, the thought of being a Mom settled in and I got really excited.
Joel likes to call the baby String Bean which I think is absolutely adorable. I think I am about 5 weeks along, but we have our first doctor appointment in 2 1/2 weeks, so we'll find out for sure then. I'll keep posting as we have new experiences and information.
